A SIMPLE METHOD TO DETERMINE THE MASS PARAMETER IN UNIAXIAL SUPERCONDUCTORS

Using the anisotropic London theory we investigate some properties of superconductors in the limit of large values of the magnetic induction . In this work we proposed a method of obtaining the average mass para meter using torque magnetometry. We consider the region where the pinn ing and the geometry of the sample are not important. Thus, the only r elevant quantity is the angle associated to the biggest torque, theta( max). (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
