Abstract
We report a case of severe left ventricular outflow tract obstruction compl icating steroid therapy in an infant undergoing allogeneic transplant in th e first few weeks of life for treatment of Krabbe's disease. While this com plication is well known to those treating premature infants, it has not bee n reported in the stem cell transplant setting. For young infants undergoin g allogeneic transplant who require steroid therapy, cardiac monitoring aft er 2-3 weeks of therapy is recommended.
