Workplace monitoring in the chrysotile asbestos industry

A brief description is given of the development of an international initiat ive for collecting annual returns of workplace-monitoring data from the int ernational asbestos industry. The data from the 1995 survey are summarized and reflect achievement in monitoring control of asbestos over a period of ten years. The data reported were collected from those businesses associate d with the Asbestos International Association (AIA). The AIA initiative is related to the historical evolution of controlling workplace dusts.
