Abstract
The first lower-rim full O-pyridyl and O-quinolyl ether derivatives of cali x[4]arene and p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene in 1,3-alternate conformation have been synthesized using cesium carbonate as a promoter at high reaction temp erature and their structures and conformations were characterized by H-1 NM R spectra and X-ray crystallography.
