Abstract
This paper describes a new position and speed estimation technique for Perm anent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). It is based on the stator flux linka ge estimation and a proportional-integral controller. The aim is to elabora te an accurate estimator in accordance with some specifications, especially the ability to cancel any initial position error and robustness toward noi se and a DC disturbance measured within the electric measurements. This lat est property is realized by using an improved integrator in the estimation procedure. For validation purposes, experimental set is performed on 4-pole s PMSM, and commented results are presented.
