Abstract
The authors demonstrate a 2 x 40-channel dispersion-slope compensator for 4 0Gbit/s wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems that em ploys an arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) with a 4.0THz bandwidth and a spat ial phase filter. It can compensate for the dispersion slope of the entire bandwidth of C- and L-bands simultaneously.
