Tc. Yao et al., Endogenous endophthalmitis and necrotising pneumonia caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae in a child with beta-thalassaemia major, EUR J PED, 160(7), 2001, pp. 449-449
A case of B-thalassaemia major complicated with Klebsiella pneumoniae endog
enous endophthalmitis is presented to increase physician awareness of the a

nous and intravitreal ceftriaxone therapy, along with vitrectomy and extern
al drainage.
