Abstract
5-Iodo-2-methylpyridazin-3(2H)-one readily underwent Suzuki coupling with p rotected anilinoboronic acids to yield the corresponding arylpyridazinones which proved to be suitable starting compounds to a ring closure - a 4 step pathway - to pyridazino[4,5-b]indoles.
