Abstract
Pre-eclampsia, a life-threatening disease unique to pregnancy, hers been ca
lled or disease of theories. To date, there has been no widely accepted pre
dictive test or therapeutic intervention to prevent or delay pre-eclampsia.
The discovery of a new placental hormone, neurokinin B, may finally help t
o answer some of the past mysteries.
