E. Baccarelli et S. Galli, Minimum-error-probability single-user detection for ISI-impaired narrow-band multiuser systems, IEEE COMMUN, 49(6), 2001, pp. 1055-1062
The goal of this contribution is to give some insight into the cochannel in
terference (CCI) suppression capability of novel symbol-by-symbol-type maxi
mum a posteriori probability single-user receivers for nonspread-spectrum m
ultiuser narrow-band systems impaired by intersymbol interference and CCI.
The presented multiuser receivers minimize the error probability in the det
ection of the desired user message on a per-symbol basis. Practical applica
tion environments for the developed detectors can be constituted by Etherne
t-type LANs and DSL-based high-throughput links connecting central offices
to subscribers.
