Ch. Galka et al., A dithallium-derivative of an amino-tripod by demetallation of the trithallium triamide in dioxane, INORG CH C, 4(7), 2001, pp. 332-335
The tris(aminosilyl)silane MeSi(SiMe2NH(4-CH3C6H4)}(3) (2) was characterize
d by X-ray diffraction and found to adopt a "paddle weel" type arrangement.
Upon controlled thermolysis of the thallium(I)amide derived from MeSi{SiMe
(2)NHtBu}(3) the dimetallated diamido-amine [MeSi{SiMe2N(Tl)tBu}(2)(SiMe(2)
NHtBu}] (3) was obtained and structurally characterized by X-ray diffractio
n. The two remaining thallium atoms and the amido-N atoms form a four-membe
red ring while the remaining NH-amino function coordinates weakly to one of
the thallium atoms. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
