Abstract
Cadmium sulfide films were prepared by spray pyrolysis of thiourea complexe s, and their optical, electrical, luminescent, and structural properties we re investigated. The results are used to elucidate the mechanism underlying the effect of the nature of the thiourea complex on the properties of the films. The crystal structure and perfection of the films are shown to corre late with the structure of the first coordination sphere of the thiourea co mplex.
