Abstract
This paper introduces the discrete singular convolution algorithm for vibra tion analysis of rectangular plates with mixed boundary conditions. A unifi ed scheme is proposed for the treatment of simply supported, clamped and tr ansversely supported (with nonuniform elastic rotational restraint) boundar y conditions. The robustness and reliability of the present approach are te sted by a number of numerical experiments. All results agree well with thos e in the literature. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
