Abstract
We show that a minimal counterexample to the Cherlin-Zil'ber conjecture of even type and with a weakly embedded subgroup is isomorphic to PSL2(K), whe re K is an algebraically dosed field of characteristic 2. (C) 2001 Academic Press.
