Abstract
We were able to grow Sr0.61Ba0.39Nb2O6 Single crystals, 35-50 mm in diamete r and 35-65 mm in length (180-470 g in weight) by the Czochralski technique using a resistance-heating furnace and crucible-base cooling. We were also able to obtain striation-free crystals by growing with crucible-base cooli ng and no crystal rotation, and subsequently by annealing the crystals at 1 470 degreesC for 50 h.
