Abstract
This paper focuses on the development of new sensor electronics for el ectrical capacitance tomography to increase the measurement accuracy a nd, accordingly, to enhance the system performance in terms of image r esolution, and the data acquisition speed. The new system relies on th e use of the unknown capacitance in an active differentiator. Applying an appropriate input signal to the differentiator gives an output whi ch can easily be translated into the capacitance.
