Abstract
The number-theoretical spin chain has exactly one phase transition, wh ich is located at inverse temperature beta(cr) = 2. There the magnetiz ation jumps from one to zero. The energy density, being zero in the lo w temperature phase. grows at least linearly in beta(cr) - beta.
