On a perturbation method for partial differential equations

We show that a recently developed perturbation method for partial different ial equations can be rewritten in the form of an interaction picture. In th is way it is possible to compare this approach with others such as the stan dard perturbation theory and a straightforward temporal expansion of the ev olution operator. We choose a simple, exactly solvable model as an illustra tive example.
