Abstract
Trifluoroacetic anhydride exotermically reacts with bis(trimethylstannyl)ac etylene to form previously unknown 1-trifluoroacetyl-2-trimethylstannylacet ylene, which interacts with bromine to produce 1-trifluoroacetyl-2-bromoace tylene.
