Mission and scientific programme of the National Competence Center for Lateral Nanostructures

Nanoclub Lateral (NCL) acts as a German scientific center for coordinating the transfer of research and technology between 70 university groups and in dustrial laboratories in the field of lateral functional nanostructures. Th is large number of competent members and attractive research and developmen t topics provides the critical mass for synergy but requires efficient stru ctures for its coordination. The main mission of NCL is the efficient and accelerated transfer of inform ation from the university area to individual laboratories with a specific f ocus on components for future information technology applications.
