Abstract
Fundamental parameters of laser and X-ray interaction with matter are cruci al in high energy density physics research. ISKRA-5 laser is used for exper imental investigation of X-ray transport in various targets, Cylindrical ch annels investigated on ISKRA-5 are simulated using diffusion-vacuum and kin etic approximations. The effects of 3D target geometry and kinetic characte r of X-ray transport are discussed. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
