This work describes briefly a powerful method to determine variationally th
e ground state properties of many-body strongly-interacting systems, based
in the interplay between the familiar two-body Jastrow ansatz and a special
coordinate-space configuration-interaction expansion. Applications to fini
te He-4 and He-3 drops are also presented.
