Protective area of laser eye protectors

An objective definition of the protective area of laser eye protectors is d iscussed. First an appropriate test method is described, which is based on the current eye protection standard EN 168. For a variety of already CE typ e approved laser eye protectors, i.e, for different goggle and spectacle ty pes, results of corresponding measurements are shown. From these results th e requirements on the vertical and horizontal angle ranges are derived, whi ch have to be covered by laser eye protectors.
