Abstract
We demonstrate a wavelength, bandwidth and pulse duration tuneable picoseco nd source operating around 772 nm. The sourer utilises quasi-phase-matched second harmonic generation in a periodically poled KTP crystal and optical seeding of an erbium fibre amplifier using adiabatic Raman compression of d irectly modulated 10 GHz pulses at 1544 nm.
