Abstract
In this paper we present Compton profile study on NbxMo1-x (x = 0.25, 0.50, 0.75) alloys. The measurements have been made using 59.54 keV gamma -rays from 5 Ci Am-241 source. The results are compared with available KKR-ATA ba nd calculations and the superposition of APW and LCGO Compton profiles of N b and Mo. To see the organisational effects (charge transfer), we have comp ared our measurements with the superposition of Compton profiles of the pur e constituent metals, weighted by their compositions. The good agreement be tween measurements and the corresponding superposition profiles suggests th at there is no charge transfer in this system on alloying.
