Abstract
Soliton stability described by KdV-type equations with higher-order dispers ion and nonlinearity is studied analytically. Criterions of linear and nonl inear soliton stability and adjoining formulas are derived in a form that w ill guide a future study of soliton stability by means of numerical simulat ions.
