Abstract
The active fraction from Ixora coccinea flowers prevented a decrease in bod y weight, haemoglobin levels and leucocyte counts of mice treated with cisp latin, It also significantly prolonged the life span of cisplatin treated m ice and maintained their blood urea nitrogen levels in the near normal rang e, indicating its chemoprotective effects.
