Abstract
A rate-dependent hysteresis property is a common phenomenon in various hyst eretic systems including the piezoceramic material system. The dynamic Prei sach model is needed to describe the rate-dependent hysteresis. This paper proposes a new dynamic Preisach model by introducing the dependence of the Preisach function on the input variation rate. An input variation rate func tion was introduced to adjust the relationship of hysteresis loop to the in put variation rate for different hysteresis systems. A detailed numerical i mplementation procedure is also presented. Experiments were conducted to st udy the hysteresis behaviour of the piezoceramic actuator system and to ver ify the proposed model.
