Abstract
Previously unknown water-soluble copolymers of 3-O-methacryloyl-1,2;5,6-di- O-isopropylidene-D-glucofuranose with N-vinylacetamide and its N-alkyl anal ogs, N-butyl- and N-octyl-N-vinylacetamides, were prepared Acid hydrolysis of these copolymers yielded water-soluble copolymers of 3-O-methacryloyl-D- glucopyranose with N-vinylacetamides. The composition and structure of all the copolymers prepared were proved by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra.
