Abstract
Water-soluble polymers, poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone, poly(dimethylaminoethyl me thacrylate), and polymethacrylamidoglucose with M = 1500-100000, containing terminal carboxy or primary amino groups, were prepared by radical polymer ization in ethanol, isopropanol, or dimethylformamide in the presence of th ioglycolic acid or cysteamine hydrochloride.
