Tn. Sokolova et al., Kinetic stability of copper carboxyphthalocyanines as dependent on the amount and location of the carboxy groups, RUSS J IN C, 46(6), 2001, pp. 933-938
The kinetic stability of template synthesized copper(II) tetra(3)-, tetra(4
)-, octa(3,5)-, and (4,5)-carboxyphthalocyanines in concentrated sulfuric a
cid was studied in relation to the concentration acid temperature. Rate equ
ations and the parameters of dissociation of the complexes were determined.
The stability low of the copper carboxyphthalocyanines was arranged for th
e set composition of a water-sulfuric acid mixed solvent. The specifics of
the electronic and steric influence of functional substitution on the stabi
lity of a macrocyclic copper(II) phthalocyanine complex was found to consis
t in the absence of the conjugation of substituents with the aromatic nucle
us of the molecule and in the enhancement of their negative induction effec
t due to the protonation of carboxy groups in sulfuric acid.
