Abstract
Novel macrocyclic binaphthylic receptors 1-6 are described as suitable comp ounds for saccharide recognition. Receptors belong to porphyrin- and calixr esorcinol-based macrocycles. Receptors showed strong interaction to sacchar ide species in aqueous media. The specificity to oligosaccharides for major ity of receptors has been showed. Apparent K-a values in DMSO and 5% methan ol/water mixture are in the range of 1-10(3) M-1. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
