Nv. Kamanina, On the mechanisms of nonlinear optical attenuation in fullerene-containingpi-conjugated organic systems, TECH PHYS L, 27(6), 2001, pp. 515-518
The nonlinear optical transmission properties of fullerene-containing pi -c
onjugated organic structures based on 2-cyclooctylamino-5-nitropyridine, 2-
(n-prolinol)-5-nitropyridine, N-(4-nitrophenyl)-(L)-prolinol, and photosens
itive polyimide were studied. The laws of the nonlinear optical attenuation
phenomenon are established and the possible mechanisms of the laser radiat
ion attenuation in the visible range are formulated. It is shown that an ad
equate explanation of the optical attenuation effect requires taking into a
ccount the reverse saturated absorption, the Forster transfer mechanism, th
e absorption due to free carriers, and the complex formation. (C) 2001 MAIK
