Abstract
Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations show that there is a linear co rrelation between NICS values (aromaticity criterion) and experimental Hamm ett (Brown) constants (sigma (+)(p)), together with other computed paramete rs for p-substituted benzyl cations.
