Abstract
A study of Augustine's application of a Pauline lens to his reading of "Psa lm 31", enabling him to conclude that it is a psalm of grace and justificat ion. Such an approach highlights both the unique and original reading of th e psalms carried out by Augustine as well as the profound impact the Apostl e Paul had upon his biblical and theological endeavors.
