Abstract
The effect of the instability of the compression-molding pressure on the va riance of the outer diameter of sintered fuel pellets for the cores of fuel elements for fast reactors is studied. Good agreement is obtained between the experimental data and the calculations. It is shown that the tolerance for the outer diameter of the pellets after sintering can be decreased by d ecreasing the compression-molding pressure range 3 figures, 5 references.
