Abstract
Equilibrium between neutral hexacoordinate silicon complexes and ionic sili conium chlorides, which is highly temperature, solvent, counterion, ligand and substituent dependent, was observed by low temperature Si-29 NMR and co nfirmed by crystal analysis.
