The cyclic voltammetric behavior of VI B carbonyl complexes containing bis(
pyrazol-1-yl)alkanes has been investigated. It was found that the redox pot
entials (E-1/2) of metal centers remarkably relate to the ability of electr
on-donating of ligands. Metal centers with electron-donating groups on the
pyrazolyl rings are easier to be oxidized than those containing electron-wi
thdrawing groups.
