Abstract
Ethanedithiol and di(mercaptoethyl)sulfide react regio- and stereoselective ly with (+)-3-carene and alpha -hydroxy(-)-beta -pinene beta -oxides in the presence of sodium ethoxide to give the corresponding bis- and tris-sulfid es with two terpene fragments.
