Abstract
This is the first presentation in the literature of a radial tendon flexor pulley in the distal forearm adjacent to the flexor carpi radialis. The cli nical significance is that in performing wrist tendon arthroplasty, this st ructure and, in close proximity, the sensory branch of the median nerve may be encountered. Whether cutting the pulley of the flexor carpi radialis is clinically significant in changing wrist biomechanics is unknown. (C) 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
