Abstract
It has been established with the aid of a double-crystal X-ray diffractomet er that the nonuniform curvature of cylindrically, spherically, or thoroida lly bent silicon and quartz crystals is of a periodic character. It is show n that this periodicity influences the spectral (energy) resolution of a fo cusing crystal, which becomes noticeable at the Bragg angle theta obeying t he condition tan(2)theta P 1.
