The studies were carried out to evaluate the constituents in the aeria
l part of Aconitum chiisanense (Ranunculaceae). From the butanol fract
ion of the methanol extract, kaempferol beta-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-al
pha-rhamnopyranoside (I), quercetin 3-O-beta-glucopyranoside-7-O-(6-tr
ans-caffeoyl) (1-->2)-alpha-rhamnopyranoside (II), kaempferol beta-glu
copyranosyl-(1-->2)-alpha-rhamnopyranoside (III), kaempferol beta-gluc
opyranosyl-(1-->2)-alpha-rhamnopyranoside (IV), kaempferol beta-glucop
yranosyl-(1-->2)-alpha-rhamnopyranoside (V), and kaempferol -beta-gluc
opyranosyl(1-->2)-alpha-rhamnopyranoside (VI) were isolated and identi
fied on the basis of their physicochemical and spectroscopic evidence
(UV, IR, FAB(-)MS, H-1-NMR, C-13-NMR, H-1-H-1 COSY, HMQC and HMBC). Ne
w compounds I-VI were named chiisanin (I), chiiribanin (II), chiiribac
onin (III), chiirin (IV), chiiricanin (V), and chiirirhamnin (VI), res
pectively.
