Abstract
The inhibitory effects of bulbocapnine, an aporphine isoquinoline alka loid, on bovine adrenal tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) were investigated, B ulbocapnine had an inhibitory effect on the enzyme (43.6% inhibition a e concentration of 200 mu M). Bulbocapnine exhibited uncompetitive inh ibition on bovine adrenal TH with a substrate L-tyrosine. The K-i valu e was found to be 0.20 mM.
