Abstract
The condensation reaction of 2-hydrazino-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,8-naphthyrid ine with different acetophenones followed by DMF and POCl3 under microwave irradiation and by conventional methods are described. The reaction rate is enhanced tremendously under microwave irradiation as compared to conventio nal method with improved yields.
