Abstract
The prospects for the use of FTIR spectroscopy for the determination o f gaseous reaction products in electrothermal atomic-absorption spectr ometry at the pyrolysis stage and for the calculation of the kinetic p arameters of the reactions were considered. It is shown that an experi mental setup based on an FTIR spectrometer provides a means for charac terizing the thermal decomposition of a standard compound.
