Mj. Da Silva et al., Correlation between structural and optical properties of InAs quantum dotsalong their evolution, J CRYST GR, 227, 2001, pp. 1025-1028
The growth of highly inhomogeneous samples is presented as a suitable way t
o investigate the continuous evolution of self-assembled InAs quantum dots
as a function of the thickness of deposited material. A single specific sam
ple allowed a direct comparison of the structural and optical properties of
the strained islands using atomic-force microscopy and low-temperature pho
toluminescence. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
