Abstract
Retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy via a posterior approach was su ccessful in a patient with a large impacted renal pelvic stone. This proced ure is beneficial as an alternative to open surgery for stones that cannot be treated by SWL or intracorporeal lithotripsy. This procedure may also be the initial treatment in selected cases.
