The present paper reports polynuclear coordination compounds isolated
from the systems 2Fe (III) : M (II): C2O42- and 2Fe (III) : (0.5M (II)
, 0.5M (II)) : C2O42- as precursors for Co (II) and Co (II) - Mn (II)
ferrites. To determine the nature of the species formed and to establi
sh the stability range of complex species, two pH ranges were selected
: 5-7 and 10-12; three Mn-: mC(2)O(4)(2-) ratios that are 1 : 2, 1 :
4, 1 : 10 and two precipitating agents (NH4OH 12.5% and KOH 40%) were
utilised.
