Abstract
Refractive indices and densities were measured at 298.15 K in n-hexade cane-benzene, toluene, p-xylene, pseudocumene and chlorobenzene binary systems. A correlation between the refractive index or molar refracti on and the molar excess volume in the binary systems studied was teste d; the experimental results were also discussed in terms of the compon ents of the systems and their nature.
