Abstract
A three-dimensional well-ordered network of macroporous CdS has been fabric ated by a novel solvothermal synthesis route using SiO2 beads as a template ; the CdS particles, which were introduced in the voids of the template and used as crystal seeds for the further growth of CdS from the liquid phase, were found to play a very important role in the formation of the final por e structure.
